  1. Al Qaeda is a international terrist network led by Usama Bin Laden. Al Queda was established in 1988. This network is used to help with finance, recruit, transport and train thousands of fighters from dozens of countries to be part of an Afghan resistance to defeat the Soviet Union. http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/para/al-qaida.htm

  2. I think that Seans information is accurate because he got it off the same website as i did. I found that the IRa was formed in 1969 and is dedicated to removing British troops from Northern Ireland and uniting IReland as a whole. The IRA has several hundred members involved and perform activites such as bombings, assassinations, kidnappings, extortion, and robberies. The IRA operates in Northern Ireland, Irish Republic, Great Britain, and Europe.

  7. The Time reporters say that the Tamil Tigers are the most organized, effective, and brutal terrorist's. They created the suicide vest, and the only terrorist group who has assasinated 2 world leaders. Groups like this makes me worry for the future.

  9. I researched the al-qaida on globalsecurity.org. I learned the grou was started by Bin Laden around 1988. They're primary goal seems to be religion and they're at war to get all the non-muslim people out of the muslim countries and spread their religon. They also said one of their goals was to kill U.S citizens. I'm not sure who the author of this site was but the information seems to be accurate but of course it is bias since they don't have the al-quaida the website was made 2000-2010

They invented the suicide vest and, according to the FBI, are the only terrorist group to have assassinated two world leaders. There were known for recruting child Soliders

  14. Hezbollah means "party of god". This is a Lebanese organization where several Shiite Militants oppose the west and Israel and seeks to create in Lebanon a Muslim fundamentalist state modeled on Iran. Its primary mission is to destroy the state of Israel and, in the process, to murder as many Jews as possible.

  15. I agree with Lacey! It is just wrong! Al Qaeda's leader is Bin Laden..which is a mistake. They were so furious with the US gov't allowed troops to be stations in Saudi Arabia because it interferred with Islam.
