ReplyDeleteTwo companies that use sweatshop labor are the disney corp and old navy. These two companies use the labor to increase there profit thus increaing there stock worth. I think that these shops should do something to improve the conditions of there workers and increase there pay. On average the large companies that use this labor they could double the workers pay at the cost of only one percent of there profit.

ReplyDeleteI would never imagine disney using children to make their stuff. Thats so terrible. Two other companies that use sweatsho[s are Nike and Hanes. These places only pay their workers as low as a dollar a day which is coimpletely ridiculous for the anount of work and time they do.

ReplyDeleteWal-Mart and Toys R Us both use sweatshop labor. i agree with albie that the conditions should be improved, but that must also make the company look bad if its publically known that they use sweatshop labor.
ReplyDeleteI would have never thought that disney would have used children to make stuff seeing it is a children's attraction. One place that i found was GAP kids have been making the clothes and in the U.S children wear the clothes. Another one that shocked me was Nike i wouldnt have thought they used sweatshops.
ReplyDeleteDisney uses sweatshops?!omg!! 2 other companies that use sweatshops are American Eagle and Guess...so disapointing. These companies would have never crossed my mind when thinking sweatshops!

ReplyDeleteTwo Companies that use sweatshops are Calvin Klein Inc,and Sears. I can't believe that Disney uses sweatshops..Disney is a child friendly place..and yet they use children to make their items? Maybe disney isn't all that it makes it seem.

ReplyDeleteWell yeah almost everyone knows that Disney uses sweatshops. For the Disneys in other countries the sweatshops are even worse then the ones in the U.S.

Gap and Levis Strauss are two companies that were both chrged in court for using sweatshops and i never thought disney would use sweatshops of all companies
