  6. i did my website on human trafficking and was pretty shocked at what i learned. one is that the US is a major import location for these people, and there are 100,000 US citizens being trafficked, 27 million worldwide. I read alot of stories from trafficking victims and most were women in other countries that would answer job ads and then be taken and trafficked. Also a lot of the stories i read were women who their husband or boyfriend would take them to a hotel on a trip or say they're moving for a job and then the women would be left alone until a stranger came and told them they had been sold. The fact these guys take and addict the girls to drugs, prostitute them, and beat them is disgusting. Sean mentioned that countries aren't doing enough and that is also what i found, they use the excuse that it is too underground but i think they should do everything they can to stop this because it is so wrong

  8. 161 counties out of 192 are involved with human trafficking, and also women and children make up 80% of the people that are being taken, to become property, or slaves.

I really think it is strange how in this day and age we still "own" people like property like tiffanie said $90 dollars a day. that's pretty cheap for a human being if you ask me.

  9. I found it surprising that the US is a major import location for these people, and there are about 100,000 people being trafficked in the U.S.. Someone mentioned that not enough is being done to stop this, and I agree. It makes me sick that these guys will beat these girls and prostitute them. And close to 27 million people worldwide are being trafficked.

  11. The first fact that I found out about human trafficking was the only help center in the US can only properly treat 7-9 women. The second thing I looked up was the how profitable human trafficking was and it is the third most profitable criminal act behind arms trafficking and drug dealing. The last this I looked up was how its being stopped. The facts are only 140 people responsible for human trafficking have been convicted as of 2000-2005.
