This week a drug lord has taken over part of the capital city of Jamaica. The United States his already getting involved. The drug lord demands are the release of another drug lord in US custody. Jamaica Prime minister believes the people should not get involved but I feel the people local and global will get involved in ending the issue.

  2. The Icelandic volcano that has been disrupting thousands of flights with its ash plume has significantly reduced in activity, according to the Icelandic Meteorological Office.
No ash was detected from the Eyjafjallajokul volcano on Sunday in a flight over the crater by Icelandic scientists.
People can fly again! People won't have to worry anymore about the ash from the volcano

this article explains how suspicion surrounds Israel and South Africa. it's possible that Israel has been striking deals with South Africa about Nuclear missiles. Israel denies any claims of such deals, but if this is true, then it puts the whole world at risk seeing as how anothern nation becomes armed with nuclear weaponry. especially in a continent so unstable, the missiles could be unpredictably launched and start WWIII

Since the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded, an estimated 5,000 barrels of oil a day have been gushing into the seas of the Gulf of Mexico and drifting towards the US coast threatening wildlife and livelihoods dependent on tourism and fishing--this could severely impact the environment, endangering wildlife and will cost millions of dollars in damages and repairs. Gas and oil prices might also increase from this

  8. "An estimated 2,000 metric tons of crude oil may have spilled into the Singapore Strait when two ships collided off the city-state's southeastern coast on Tuesday, the Port Authority said." This article has a global impact because it is polluting the water and water pollution can harm the animals.

I also read about the oil spill. Obama claims that he will not rest until oil spill has stopped. This situatiion could have been handled better. This spill was a definite risk to our environment as the article says. Our fossil fuels are at risk because of this oil spill.
