By playing the sustainability game I learned that building houses using recyclable goods can be expensive but very costly. The cheaper alternatives that are used most often usually are hazardous to the environment to produce.
i learned of multiple sources of energy such as geothermal, solar, and wind powered energy. sometimes you have to invest in expensive sources for it to pay off in the future

I learned that there are lot of choices from the type of insulation in a house, to how you heat your house. Like Jake said, you might have to pay more intitially for it to pay off in the future.
